Hi folks, Steve Rouse here. Well, it’s taken me a while to figure out the “next thing”, but I believe I have with these stories. From growing up in a small town in the 50’s and 60’s to a crazy morning show and our band, to an organic farm and a slightly scandalous BnB, I’m sharing my journey with all the humorous twists and turns this old baby boomer has experienced along the way.  Plus, I share a lifestyle, we call “Steve Style” full of growing veggies, having a flock of chickens, keeping bees, heating with wood,  cutting firewood, and being one of Mother Nature’s closest friends.

Listen in the car or read and watch at lunch, in bed or sitting on the … you know. I hope you enjoy!

So with the fall weather arriving early many of the flowers around the farm have said, ”Well, I guess that’s it for another year.”  Here’s a few that are hanging on.       Plus yesterday, while hiking the trail, out of the corner of my eye, I saw this blaze of orange about 30 feet away. Anybody know what this is?

On this day in 1996, the brand new Baltimore Ravens franchise played their first game in Memorial Stadium. This year, they open up their regular season this Sunday night against the Bills. It’s hard to believe that this is year 29 for the Ravens franchise in Baltimore. During their initial season in 1996 we recorded a few Ravens tunes. I received a request to make this one our Stevie and the Satellites Song of the...

My octogenarian Father was sitting in our farm market while I was waiting on customers.  He wasn’t doing much; he was mostly watching the interactions and taking it all in.  When things got quieter and there wasn’t anyone else in the market, he looked at me and said, “You remind me of Grandma Woody back when she had her little store.” I knew immediately what he meant, having grown up helping my Grandmother in her...

Over the years, I would run into Larry Noto occasionally. We had him on our morning show a few times, I would see him at various Baltimore festivals or gala events. We always seemed to hit it off and walked away from our conversations feeling a bit lighter after a few hardy laughs. At least that’s how I felt, I can’t speak for Larry. I did overhear him once say as I approached, “Oh God,...
