Hi folks, Steve Rouse here. Well, it’s taken me a while to figure out the “next thing”, but I believe I have with these stories. From growing up in a small town in the 50’s and 60’s to a crazy morning show and our band, to an organic farm and a slightly scandalous BnB, I’m sharing my journey with all the humorous twists and turns this old baby boomer has experienced along the way.  Plus, I share a lifestyle, we call “Steve Style” full of growing veggies, having a flock of chickens, keeping bees, heating with wood,  cutting firewood, and being one of Mother Nature’s closest friends.

Listen in the car or read and watch at lunch, in bed or sitting on the … you know. I hope you enjoy!

We wrote and performed many parody songs on the Rouse and Co. morning show. Our band Stevie and the Satellites performed many of these songs live around town. October’s song of the month is “Rogaine”. When Rogaine first came out I envisioned a balding guy plastering his head with Rogaine and his wife saying, “Honey, you don’t have to do that. I love you just the way you are!” But never discouraging the application. Instead...

My morning smoothie, better known as The Steve Smoothie, is a combination of goodness the world has never seen. One blender full can get you 3-4 glasses worth, so you don’t have to make it everyday, which is simply too much trouble. I’ll gladly take questions and comments.

There seems to be a pattern beginning to develop in the daily race between Walter and Pepper. Walter has become a cheater, simple as that. Plus, as you will see, after being disqualified he shows his disdain for the rules of the game and urinates on the course. The racing board is considering further action.

What a great day recording an episode of the “Lunch with Steve and Maynard” podcast at the fabulous Boumi Temple in Rousedale, ah, I mean Rosedale. A fabulous lunch was served, a lot of folks stopped by and we got to talk with my former morning show partner Linda Sherman. We hadn’t seen each other in at least 25 years! And… we had a few unexpected guests. Surprise appearances from Tom Davis, Joy Pons and...

I recently had a guy ask me if the guest on the morning show we had somewhat regularly was actually David Letterman? Here’s a clip. What do you think? 🧐
