Hi folks, Steve Rouse here. Well, it’s taken me a while to figure out the “next thing”, but I believe I have with these stories. From growing up in a small town in the 50’s and 60’s to a crazy morning show and our band, to an organic farm and a slightly scandalous BnB, I’m sharing my journey with all the humorous twists and turns this old baby boomer has experienced along the way.  Plus, I share a lifestyle, we call “Steve Style” full of growing veggies, having a flock of chickens, keeping bees, heating with wood,  cutting firewood, and being one of Mother Nature’s closest friends.

Listen in the car or read and watch at lunch, in bed or sitting on the … you know. I hope you enjoy!

The town was certainly abuzz 30 years ago today with Cal Ripken Jr. was set to break Lou Gehrig’s major league baseball consecutive game streak of 2,131 games.  WQSR’s general manager Brad Murray stepped up to plate himself, as he always did, and the station purchased 2 $5000 tickets to the game.  These tickets had a lot that went with them as you’ll hear on this clip of the Rouse and Company morning show giving the tickets...

The Stevie and the Satellites song “In the Game 2131” was written by my friend Bill Fritz of his group “The Klassix” and was played the night Cal Ripken, Jr. broke the record for most consecutive major league baseball games, a record that was set by Lou Gehrig in 1939.
