Hi folks, Steve Rouse here. Well, it’s taken me a while to figure out the “next thing”, but I believe I have with these stories. From growing up in a small town in the 50’s and 60’s to a crazy morning show and our band, to an organic farm and a slightly scandalous BnB, I’m sharing my journey with all the humorous twists and turns this old baby boomer has experienced along the way.  Plus, I share a lifestyle, we call “Steve Style” full of growing veggies, having a flock of chickens, keeping bees, heating with wood,  cutting firewood, and being one of Mother Nature’s closest friends.

Listen in the car or read and watch at lunch, in bed or sitting on the … you know. I hope you enjoy!

I went to Rouse’s Point, NY the other day to honor my ancestor Jacques Rouse, who fought in the revolutionary war, and stopped in beautiful St. Albans, Vermont. I didn’t expect to see what I saw!

We’ve had some real wild storms come through the area this summer, and when it does, it can do a number on the corn. Will we lose it all? Stay tuned!

I’m so upset!!!  My video of harvesting our first potatoes wasn’t videoing!  So you’ll have to settle for photos. I was totally surprised with the amount we got from that little 10 foot row and from potato plants that seemed to die off early. Many are small because the plants didn’t last that long, but still, we harvested 18 pounds of Red Pontiacs! So what’s your favorite way fix potatoes??
