THE CHICKS HAVE STARTED TO LAY!! Wait a minute, let me rephrase that.
The new chicks are now 16 and a half weeks old and we have our first little eggs!!! It will take another couple of weeks before the eggs get up to regular size. It’s a little earlier than I expected. Usually it’s around the 18-20 week mark before the girls begin to lay. But Saturday night when I discovered the first couple eggs, the celebratory mood was quickly dashed.
