Over the years, I would run into Larry Noto occasionally. We had him on our morning show a few times, I would see him at various Baltimore festivals or gala events. We always seemed to hit it off and walked away from our conversations feeling a bit lighter after a few hardy laughs. At least that’s how I felt, I can’t speak for Larry. I did overhear him once say as I approached, “Oh God, not Rouse again.” Nonetheless, I always found him hilariously funny and a very talented guy. A stand up comic who has opened for the biggest names in the business. He’s the singer and leader of his Little Big Band that performs up and down the eastern seaboard, and has written a book about following his dream to the stage rubbing elbows with all the greats and life beyond.
Ten years ago his father passed away, so Larry found one of the premier music stores in Maryland dropped in his lap. Without much experience in running a business, off he went to try to keep his father’s legacy alive. Over the 10 years since he’s had the store, Music Land in Belair has been expanded with enhanced programs, new offerings, community involvement, live performances and a place for local musicians to enter into their own special world.
We can’t wait to talk to Larry again! Wednesday, August 27th at 6pm at Music Land. Get ready for some laughs! Please stop by if you can.
