WQSR Memories: Hickey Dickey

I stumbled upon this recording the other day when I was looking for something else. After listening, it made me realize that even though the Rouse and Co morning show was peppered with bits and characters and fake commercials and parody songs, some of the most entertaining moments just happened organically like this. I need to set it up first.
We were doing weekly visits to schools in the area, in particular the teacher lounges. Schools sent in requests for a visit and then once a week Maynard drew a winning school and he and promotion director “Little Dave” took donuts etc. to the school. This recording features Maynard G. Kristie McIntyre, Tom Davis, Mike Thomas, me and traffic reporter Scott Parker. It begins with Maynard drawing that week’s winning school and goes from there.
