Stevie and the Satellites Song of the Month: Ravens!

On this day in 1996, the brand new Baltimore Ravens franchise played their first game in Memorial Stadium.

This year, they open up their regular season this Sunday night against the Bills. It’s hard to believe that this is year 29 for the Ravens franchise in Baltimore. During their initial season in 1996 we recorded a few Ravens tunes. I received a request to make this one our Stevie and the Satellites Song of the Month.

This song we recorded in 1996 shortly after the Ravens/Browns came to town. Done to the song Gloria, first recorded by Van Morrison in 1964 and then by The Shadows of Night in 1965 which became a hit in America.

We played this one a lot when we were out playing. A fun rocker to play!
Happy Labor Day and Go Ravens!!!! This is our year!!!

About the author

You might remember me from my broadcasting career, namely The Rouse and Company Show. Perhaps you know me as Farmer Steve from your visits to our farm. Others may remember me from my music career and the parody songs. Oh, and I should welcome those of you who don’t have a clue who I am. I think you’ll get to know me pretty well after reading or listening to a few of my stories.
