Happy National Radio DJ Day!

I didn’t realize today is National Radio Day. I’ve noticed a few posts from my radio brethren with incredible resumes. My resume is not as impressive. I bounced around in small markets for many years until I got my break to come to Baltimore. I never felt a connection with a city and it’s people like I felt here almost immediately when I arrived in 1985. I never wanted to leave to find another job! I’m still here and as my old friend, former NY Mets second baseman Chico Escuela, once said, “Radio, been betty betty good to me” Except for the time I found myself in a State Police line up with these other freaks.

About the author

You might remember me from my broadcasting career, namely The Rouse and Company Show. Perhaps you know me as Farmer Steve from your visits to our farm. Others may remember me from my music career and the parody songs. Oh, and I should welcome those of you who don’t have a clue who I am. I think you’ll get to know me pretty well after reading or listening to a few of my stories.
